eyes in my inbox
google is reading my email and theres nothing i can do about it. at first i ignored it but i cant anymore. i used to sing the praises of gmail, but now im not so sure. ill look up at the little ticker above my inbox and itll be advertising something that i was just talking about with someone in my email. how curious. this used to be every once in awhile but now its all the time. i dont approve. i dont care if it is just a search algorithim, its still MY email goddammit. that shit is personal sometimes. also i think they're purposely sending me spam just to prove their spam filters work. just a theory.
so will i change from gmail?

Yeah, when I started using gmail, I thought it was convenient. Then, the deep seated paranoia that drives my soul began to think that perhaps it was TOO convenient. ...I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. I expect it to happen when I least expect it...so I'm keeping my expectation maximized to prevent it. HAH! They'd never see THAT coming!
You know, I never even noticed the ticker until Andy pointed it out to me. .. and then I promptly forgot about it until I read this post.
If the ticker thing were a person I would call it an acquaintance.
