a note on people

they seem not to notice certain things
like when an old one falls asleep suddenly
or when the persecuted try to rise up
one at a time
they seem not to mind being packed in together
even to the point of causing pain
as long as nervous glances are exchanged
in place of words
but what they do pay attention to
and this is of particular interest
is the minor details of the life of one
that lives very far away
such as what we refer to as the' stage liar'
or the 'false assumer'
and it seems not to matter just to one
or perhaps to a small group
but to a large majority of the inhabitants
they give their wadded paper to others
for a chance to peek at a stranger's secrets
secrets i might add that are most likely falsehoods
this aside, they do have beliefs
mainly various god worship
with some opressive fear inducing tactics
but nothing worse then what we sometimes succumb to
but this, coupled with their appetite for their own blood
leads us to believe that the tour we had planned
might not include this region
the smaller units may become agitated
at what they may see
i know i certainly was
