Japan!

Me: Overweight twenty something with a penchant for bad poetry and video games. Japan: country of 127,333,002 people, scattered with neon and pachinko. It's a match made in heaven if you ask me. So just in case anyone has not been made aware yet, I will at this time make it official. I am moving to Japan! Now don't go getting all sad just yet. I'm not leaving tomorrow, although given the choice I might. I will most likely finish up school. If it goes as planned I will teach english there (not engrish). They like it when you at least have a bachelor's degree in the subject. I don't even have to be fluent in Japanese, but I will learn it anyway, to the best of my abilites. Hey i've already got a head start, thanks to Joshie. I don't know why it's so appealing there. they're just....weird. I like weird. I like flashing lights. I like technological gadgets that the rest of the world won't see for God knows how long. I like spending money, which is apparantly all those people do. I like how they revere their fat people, although I hope they don't send me to sumo camp. And, of course there's the other stuff: anime, sushi, video games, hot chicks, DDR and what have you. I'm sure there are things that will get on my nerves. namely baseball. I wonder if there's some way i could get hockey to catch on there. oh well, doesn't matter. i'm still going. no matter what, come hell or high water, as God as my witness, I shall become a most honorable citizen of the land of the Rising Sun!

I shall support this endeavor in a cautiously optimistic fashion with undertones of feeling like this is all sort of a "Grade school kid see's a trumpet recital, so he decides to play one and then gives it up once he realizes its not what he expected" type of thing.

Over the course of five years you'll have gone from living 4 feet from me, to 40 feet, to 4 miles, to 10 miles, to 200 miles, and next 4000 miles?

I like Japan. I wish to go there too. Maybe I could travel in your pocket and be your pet.

Okay, here's the plan. You go and get set up. I'll mail myself to you, and you can tell your tiny japanese landlady that I am an exotic pet. I'll lay around and make cute noises, and say my name a lot like a pokemon. I'll learn japanese and make a living putting GOOD subtitles on anime (which you can watch with me when you aren't teaching small children in sailor suits). I'll also teach the kiddies all the bad words that you aren't allowed to (like axe-wound). Okay. You think about it...I need to find a shoe supplier that will ship to Japan. ...I wonder if Heinlein translates well....

Japan Is A great place to visit, I lived there for two years though. A lot of americans tend to think of it as a haven or something. People suck there just as bad as they do here. there is crime and drugs and every horror that comes with society, also they do seem to think they are better than everyone. racism is pretty bad there. other than that the scenery is infinitely better(except in the city which looks like something out of the fifth element.) and the women like american men.
