spaced (i believe in)

Ok I am writing this in the hopes that someone other than my close friends might read this.
Spaced.
Spaced is a television show. A British one.
Now far be it for me to be any sort of shining beacon of good taste. Lord (and most of my friends) knows i've been known to pick the occassional stinker as watchable from time to time, on both the big and small screen. Chalk it up to the O word. (opinion, not orgasm, you pervs.)
Anyways, before the creators and contributors of the hit movie Shaun of the Dead even dreamed of blowing away hordes of zombies, they gave life to Spaced. A fourteen episode, two season (hopefully the third one will begin filming soon) little corner of breakthrough television. I'm not saying this is the best show in the world. Some of the jokes are lame, and a few of the Britishisms might go flying over our yankee heads, but in essence, as a whole, in the big scheme of things.......this show is amazing.
The first thing, and one of the main points of my arguement, is Tim, one of the main characters. He is a dork. Nerd. Geek. Fanboy. Whatever you want to call us. But he's also cool, or at least thinks he is at times. And he's cute, but I digress. His friend Mike is a failing military man with a penchant for a bit of the ultra-violence and his roomate Daisy is a kooky failed magazine writer with a flair for the dramatic. There are more characters with even more interesting personality quirks, but i'd be here for a while describing them.
The reason I like this show so much, and why you should is.....i dunno. I got attached to the characters, like a crazy old lady gets attached to a few hundred cats. With the writing and the acting, one situation might seems very real, as if it happened to me at one point, and others might seem like fantasy, or to put it more aptly, like a movie. Speaking of which, this show is rife with movie, video game, and other pop-cult references, which is a huge plus, at least as far as i'm concerned. And like some of the bestest shows (i'm looking at you Futurama) it also has it's sweet and touching moments.
But there is a problem.
That problem is distribution. Namely american distribution.
Trio is the only network that has shown Spaced so far. BBC america won't even show it for some reason. Not only that, but the dvd is of course european only (region code such and such). Thankfully for me I managed to TiVo every episode. For everybody else however, you're screwed.
So if you have Trio, and you see something that says Spaced, watch it. Watch it as much as you can. Record it and watch it over and over again. Or just ignore me and continue watching your soap operas.

I wanna see it! Oh, wait. I think I have trio... NOOO! Charter took trio out of the line up last year! Oh, the cruel irony.
