this and that
I hope Josh was wrong about Guitar Hero ruining my ability to play the actual guitar, because as it stands now, I suck at that too. I cant get past medium on Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Well I can play some songs on hard on Rock band, but not many.
Mom is coming to visit on her birthday Monday. She really wanted to take a crack at RB on drums. Shes gonna kidnap me and take me back to A town for the week, so to anybody reading this I wont be available to instance next Friday. (not tomorrow, but next week)
Been watching arrested development, its funny as hell.
Wow, I really dont have much else to say. I miss Stephanie.

music
What people may or may not know about me is that for me music is life. It is everything. Its what inspires and fascinates, challenges, and is really about the only thing that I won't eventually become bored with. Sometimes music is the only thing that really keeps me going. Sort of like the energizer bunny or those little dancing flowers.
So....do what you love right?
Performing can take a lot of starting scratch, which I am currently not blessed with. This of course is my own fault. Hopefully one day I can resolve this.
In the interim?
I've thought about broadcasting, but that wouldn't work either, because I know I would never get to play what I wanted, just the filth certain people call 'music'.
Call me a music snob. I don't care anymore. There is stuff out there that I simply refuse to respect people for listening to.
So....i'm pretty much left with writing. Putting my music snobbery to work and talking up the stuff I love, and kicking in the balls the music I cannot stand. Why not?
Because there are more people that do that now than I can even imagine. My voice would not be unique. I have a framed demotivator staring at me right now telling me 'never before have so many people with so little to say said so much to so few'.
Well....screw you despair.com, ima do it anyways!
MidlakeProbably the best band I've heard out of Denton in quite awhile. If you hit up the website, go to their media section and listen to 'young bride', its my favorite song of theirs so far. Their latest venture 'The Trials of Van Occupanther' has turned quite a few heads and ears, and probably gave our fair city more attention, at least since Centro-Matic hit the scene, oh so many years ago. If you dig the haunted throw back indie sound with strings, definately give them a try.

The hipster flip
i took a dive
in the lights
dirty clothes
dirtier hands
i run screaming for the hills
and they all do
how did you come to this place
did you find us sticking bills
trying desperately to be seen
under the covers
in the backseat
i find shame in the common
and they all do
this is the tshirt slogan club
est. 1998
and no
you cannot join
stare at your shoes some more
roll your eyes
and roll your own
ok lets talk
i leave pride for closer comforts
and they're already there
so lets achieve to fail
and lets all do
the hipster flip
mumble for joy
for finding
your true brothers and sisters
who for some reason
look just like you
