Lost and not found *thank god*
This is gonna be a virtual salad of ideas and inventions today kiddies, so hang on to your hats.
First off is FH. I'm really going to be paying more attention to FH. Trying to find users, posting more *possibly*, and linking. Veronica *the dear sweet Veronica* is doing a new template for it, and hopefully we'll get to see it soon. I'm brewing up a really cheesy, but personal work right now, and hopefully i'll get it up within in a week. I usually only get my lunch hour to work on it, hence the extended write time. P.S. if you have any suggestions for FH let me know.
Secondly, we come to song of the week. I doubt i'll keep this up more than a few weeks, but how knows, anything can happen.
The Decemberists -
Here I dreamt I was an architectI hope I don't get in trouble for linking to free mp3 downloads. Oh well.
Lastly we come back to Lost. This is mainly directed to Margie. Normally I would blow a gasket when I found out that Lost is a rerun again, especially as of late. But tonight they are showing the two part pilot, which in my opinion, is quite possibly the greatest two hours of television I have ever seen. It's especially awesome if you've never seen it before. If you can't watch it, record it. If you can't record it, get someone to record it for you. If someone can't record it for you...well then all is Lost.

a peek...
into my daily life. i'm sitting at my desk right now. i just called a customer and got an answering machine. i'm chewing hour old gum. my face feels fuzzy. im looking at all the crap on my desk. fedex water bottle. phone.keyboard monitor.kleenex.badge.half a container of hummus.crackers.jar of valentines candy.postits as far as the eye can see. im slowly getting hungry again. in five minutes i will call again. i can hear other people talking around me, in varied volumes. my back hurts. i am checking my email for the ninth time this hour. a very good friend i haven't seen in along time is in texas, and i'm praying to God i get to see her. in 150 minutes i will leave here and go see the bats play. i wish i hadn't lost josh and dave's numbers. i'd love to call and bug them. im sure they wouldn't. i call again. no answer. i'm scowling at the screen. i want some tea. i scratch my ear. i sigh softly.
( this post brought to you by the committee for no freaking idea about what to post about)
*this probably could have worked on FH, but i needed something here.*
#hey i just found another cool symbol i can use for brackets#

k-num's oscar pics
I don't usually get excited during oscar time, and this year is not necessarily an exception. Most of the time I'm pretty dissapointed by the whole thing. If I were a man of conviction, I wouldn't go near the oscars, due to of course the '94 shawshank/gump fiasco. But I'm human, and as a human I : A) never learn, and B) must be informed when some dumb celebrity gets some dumb anatomically incorrect gold statue. So in the event that someone might actually care, here are my predictions for this years movie award type thingy. The categories that matter anyway.
(disclaimer: I know it's not until march, but i couldn't think of anything else to post about right now)
Best writing: I've only seen two of the films in the adapted category, if History of Violence wins anything i'll be pissed. That movie was ten kinds of boring. The screenplay for for BBM was pretty good, but I see Capote taking this one. As for Original, I'm hoping my fav for this year (good night and good luck) picks this one up, but Crash could get it instead.
Best Documentary: Murderball!Murderball!Murderball! *Did I say murderball?* The penguins will probably win *b/c of number of tickets sold, no doubt* and i will be bitter.
Best actress/supporting: the only perfomance i've seen is michelle williams, and frankly, i could have done without it. Weisz won the golden globe, so who knows. I like catherine keener though , so give it to her dammit.
Best actress: Man if you were the type of person who takes things the wrong way, you might think i'm a mysoginist after reading this. I haven't seen any of these perfomances. I guess i'm just a philostine. Fel Huffman won the oscar jr. in this category, sooooo....woozle wuzzle.
Best actor/supporting: Pretty good line up for this category. I freakin love Paul Giamatti, but I don't think his role was necessarily oscar worthy. My pic is Clooney for Syriana, the globe winner. He was the best thing about that movie. Also he nearly killed himself making this movie. If Matt or Jake wins, I won't be that dissappointed. As long as it isn't William Hurt. Fie on that movie I say.
Best actor: This is the category where i'm really torn. It's the battle of the underrated actors in my opinion. Phil Hoffman will probablly win this category, and I'm sure he deserves it. *I WILL go see Capote dammit!* But as much as I like him, I probably like Strathairn even more. He's always had this sort of loser charm hanging around his neck, and to see him in a role this strong left me absolutely speechless. If you have not seen this movie, stop reading this immediately and do whatever it takes to watch it.
Best Director: This is another want to win/will win situation. Ang Lee will win it. BBM was very beautiful, and pretty brave. He did get some good performances out of his actors. But personal preferences set in here. Clooney did a stunning job of throwing the audience into a very electric and important time in US history. He won't win, but I think he should
Best Picture: Ditto for this category as well. I really can't see anything other than Brokeback winning here. It is good to see a film like this win despite the fact that we're in the midst of a conservative revolution. BTW, if you liked BBM, you really should read the story. It was much more emotionally stirring, in my humble opinion
Well there you have it. If I skipped over something you think I should have covered, let me know. If you agree or disagree, let me know. If you don't care, then there's no need to comment I guess. ya bastid.

I Love Aminals!
This is pretty awesome if you think about. It's kind of like discovering an entirely new world. I usually don't get excited about stuff like this, but I just had to share. Must be all the animal docs up for oscar this year. This is my favorite pic out of them all.

He's some sort of red tree kangaroo. Sooo cute! check out the slide show after you click on the link above.

I'm popular! *right?*
most comments ever! yay! who cares if some of them were totally off topic and not directed towards me. yes it's true. I am a comment whore. I'm pretty sure everyone already knew that, but i'd think it needed to be said. i guess in order to get the most comments i need to put a task to my readers, ie: what time did you go to sleep last night, what's your favorite fish, who is buried in your backyard. a cheap tactic, but effective nonetheless. i'll use it only when necessary.
anyhoo, there are a few things i want to discuss in my post today.
First thing is for Veronica. Hopefully she will read this. I really want to link hussy on my blog, but i don't know the email you used for the original blogroller account, and i don't know the password. i tried using my own account, but i don't know if i should delete the BR stuff from my template. hope you can help out. i would have emailed this to you, but i don't know your address.
Oh i know i said i'd come visit in denton in jan. but i didn't. dumb job. my friends should be used to dissapointment by now. i know i am.
Next on the agenda, I want to put people on floodedhearts. anybody. as long as you have at least one thing to post, then your on there. i really like that blog and i want it to live and flourish! also if anybody has some better ideas for the template, let me know. the one i have is kinda of boring.
Also, there is
this. TOO COOL!
Oh, one last thing.

hehehe. suckers!
